La Flamenca Estate is one of the most emblematic shooting estates in Spain. Set in Aranjuez, forty minutes south of Madrid, it is the estate where King Alfonso XIII first brought driven partridge shooting to the country, and it remains today in the hands of the Duke of Fernán Núñez.
Alongside that history stands the Regajal Lodge, with eight suites and a carefully considered kitchen. For that reason La Flamenca is more than a shoot: it is a luxury bird hunting estate that welcomes national and international Guns every season.
History and tradition
When H.M. King Alfonso XIII brought driven partridge shooting to Spain, the place he chose was La Flamenca. Those first days gave rise to the discipline as it is understood across the peninsula today. This estate, in other words, is not one among many: it is where the tradition began.
The property belonged then, and belongs now, to the Duke of Fernán Núñez. That continuity, unbroken for more than a century under the same house, largely explains why the ground, the drives and the way they are worked have survived almost untouched.
As a result, more than a hundred years on, La Flamenca remains one of Spain's finest partridge estates and a fixture in the calendar of the best national and international shots.

The drives at La Flamenca
The ground here produces some of the most demanding and spectacular patridge drives in Spain. The birds are exceptionally fast and, above all, present a wide variety of flight lines, so the shooting changes character considerably over the course of a day.
Several of the drives, moreover, carry names known well beyond Spain. Las Nietas, Speelman Valley and Cañada Oscura are among the most sought after, and each of them tests even the most experienced shot.
As for equipment, we provide shotguns, cartridges, 4x4 vehicles and whatever else may be needed during the shoot.

Regajal Lodge
Good accommodation and a good table are as much a part of a shooting day as the drives themselves. That is precisely why La Flamenca has its own lodge within the grounds.
Set among the estate's own trees, the Regajal Lodge offers eight suites, each equipped for comfort and proper rest between days. Beyond the rooms lie the shared spaces where the evening tends to linger: the drawing room with its fireplace, the dining room and the terraces.
Equally central to the experience is the food, built on seasonal produce and matched by a serious wine list. And for those who join without shooting, we arrange cultural programmes in Madrid, Toledo and Aranjuez.
Staying on the estate itself changes the shape of the trip: there are no dawn transfers and no rush once the last drive is over.
Other quarry on the estate
La Flamenca, however, is not partridge alone. The Tagus plain and the ponds within the estate open up other possibilities across the season.
