In the countryside, real recognition is never given; it is earned. That is why Corsini Hunts is proud to congratulate Silva Venatio Asociación on receiving the FONDENA 2025 Award, a distinction that highlights an exemplary approach to wildlife and habitat conservation in the Andalusian countryside.
This award acknowledges the coordinated effort of landowners, gamekeepers, technicians, scientists and public authorities who have worked together to restore something as valuable and as fragile as our rural biodiversity. It is also excellent news for everyone who believes in responsible hunting, grounded in science and compatible with long-term conservation.
At Corsini Hunts, as outfitters specialising in premium small game hunting experiences in Spain, we are especially pleased with this recognition because it confirms a principle that guides our daily work: when management is rigorous, the land responds.
Corsini Hunts’ role within Silva Venatio
The estates we manage around Medina Sidonia, in the area of Jerez de la Frontera, have been part of Silva Venatio since the very beginning —and that is no coincidence. This is a landscape that has suffered the full impact of diseases such as Bagaza virus and rabbit haemorrhagic disease (RHD), where decisive, technically sound action was urgently needed.
Under Silva Venatio’s technical guidance, and with the support of the Regional Government of Andalusia (Junta de Andalucía) and the IREC, we have implemented long-term, science-based measures: habitat improvement, responsible agricultural landscape management, balanced predator control and continuous technical monitoring. The result speaks for itself:
wild red-legged partridge populations have recovered on our estates, something that not long ago seemed almost impossible. There were no miracles, just daily work, investment, close monitoring and a shared vision: the wildlife of the Andalusian countryside deserves far better than to fade away in silence.
Guests who hunt with Corsini Hunts do not only enjoy a world-class small game hunting experience; they also become part of this management model, in which conservation is not a slogan but a reality on the ground.
